URI : Seventeen soldiers were killed in a major attack at an administrative base in Jammu and Kashmir Uri near the Line of control this morning, the deadliest attack in recent years. All the four terrorists have been killed which India has blamed on Pakistan.

Prime minister Narendra Modi said ” I assure the nation that those behind these attacks will be punished.” The terrorists entered into the base around 5 am this morning, threw grenades and started firing indiscriminately causing the highest deaths of army men in recent years. Most of the soldiers were killed when their camps caught on fire in attack. The attack took place when one unit was replacing other and soldiers were in tents. About 30 soldiers were injured in Six hour fire battle.
