A very shameful incident has witnessed by the country when someone threw a rock on the guest team’s bus, Australia. It all happened after their T20 victory over India in Guwahati. The rock shattered the window of the bus.
Fortunately, no-one was injured in the incident. It happened when the Australian team was returning to their hotel from the Barsapara Stadium this morning (Australian time). The rock left a large hole in a window towards the back of the bus. The seat next to the window was unoccupied at the time.
The size of the rock is approximately equal to a cricket ball. The opener of Australian cricket team Aaron Finch tweeted a picture of the broken window.
It was the first international match to be played in the north-eastern city of Guwahati for eight years. The team departs for Hyderabad, a three-hour flight away, today. Before this morning’s attack, Australia had secured an eight-wicket win over India to level their T20 series at 1-1. Indian cricketer Ravinder Jadeja also lampooned the incident and retweeted to Aaron’s Twitter post saying:
