Until now, we heard a lot of stories about the underwater recordings around Avatar 2 . At one point it turned out that actress Kate Winslet, for example, could hold her breath for minutes.
But of course material is also recorded ‘on land’ for the film. Producer Jon Landau shared some cool behind-the-scenes photos on his Instagram account.
Horses on the set
In one of the photos we see that a whole bunch of horses are walking around on the set. The other shows a young girl wearing a mo-cap suit.

The horses represent the direhorse, beasts that live on Pandora and look more or less like a six-legged horse. But in reality they are the size of an elephant. The Na’vi can tame them and ride them through the neural link they make.
In the first film by James Cameron , we see how Jake Sully tries to ride such a horse in his Na’vi body, which at first does not want to succeed easily. As the story progresses, and he learns to live more in harmony with the world, things work out better.
