Yesterday, there were reports saying that yoga guru Baba Ramdev was planning to buy the country’s prime national broadcaster, NDTV. As per reported by exchange4media, NDTV is facing unprecedented financial crisis and during the first three-quarters, it’s revenues dropped from Rs 396.03 crore to Rs 368.32 crore. The news was published in South Live, the management of NDTV was in talks with some parties to sell the TV channel and the founder of Patanjali had shown interest in it.
But as the day passed, Patanjali confirmed that Yog Guru Baba Ramdev was not planning to buy NDTV. The news was totally baseless and bogus. According to The Financial Express, Patanjali Ayurved Ltd and Patanjali Yogpeeth spokesman S. K. Tijarawala said, “This is bogus, baseless and unwarranted news that @yogrishiramdev in preliminary talks to buy NDTV @Ach_Balkrishna.”
