Hollywood films have enjoyed a successful year at the Indian box office. After the huge box office successes of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: Death Reckoning Part 1 and Fast X starring Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa, two English films—Oppenheimer and Barbie—arrived today.
Regarding Barbie, the Greta Gerwig-directed film has also seen excellent ratings in the morning shows, despite not coming close to Oppenheimer. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-starring movie has, however, had a stronger start at the box office in the USA than the biological drama starring Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr.
Bollywood too not on the back seat
Bollywood films like Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Satyaprem Ki Katha, and The Kerala Story had successful summer runs, which helped films to grow in the box office. However, Hollywood had complete control over it. Given the high pre-release anticipation that English films like Wonka, Blue Beetle, and The Marvels have received in the nation, it will be intriguing to see how they perform at the box office.
