A journalist named Mitali Chandola was shot at by a group of unknown attackers. They hid their faces by putting a mask on them and attacked Mitali while she was in her car at east Delhi’s Vasundhara Enclave. The police reported that Mitali Chandola, who lives in Noida, was driving her Hyundai i20 car around 12:30 am on Sunday when a Maruti Swift suddenly overtook her.
Some of the masked men who were inside the car came out and fired two shots at her. The bullets pierced through the front windshield of Mitali’s car and one of them hit her hand. Not only that, but the attackers also threw eggs on her car’s windshield before accelerating away.
After the incident, Mitali was taken to the nearby hospital immediately and now the doctors reported that she is out of danger. The police suspect the gang of motorists that targets people at night with eggs to distract and rob them of involving in the attack.
Ms Chandola also revealed to police that she doesn’t share good relations with her family. One of the senior police officials told that “She has received bullet injuries in her arm. She is out of danger. Prima facie it appears to be case of family dispute.”
To let you know, 11 years ago in the same are, in 2008, a 26-year-old journalist, Soumya Viswanathan, was shot dead while she was driving around 3:30 am.
