Although the multiverse theory originally only applied to the plots of science fiction films, it has since been expanded. The multiverse plot element has become more commonplace than ever during the past several years in a few subgenres. Two big blockbusters, including the critically praised Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the upcoming DC reboot The Flash, use it as the central theme of their plots this month alone.
Here are some of the best and well-acclaimed multiverse movies worth binge watching.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse/Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
In terms of plot, characters, and visuals, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse received high praise. As the new Wall-Crawler for his universe, Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) fits naturally in the starring part. His colourful multiversal supporting cast furthers the story’s poignant coming-of-age narrative. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse succeeds in meeting that already high standard by developing the characters of Miles and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) and going even further with its comic book-like animation.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
The plot of Evelyn Quan Wang’s (Michelle Yeoh) narrative starts with her having to deal with an IRS audit and eventually progresses to her having to fight a cosmic menace from destroying the multiverse. A societal commentary on mental health and Asian-American ethnicity is interspersed with exhilarating martial arts action and captivating visual effects.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
The Marvel Cinematic Universe film created an intimidating amount of anticipation and succeeded in living up to those hopes by unveiling the return of Tobey Maguire’s and Andrew Garfield’s respective Spider-Men beside Tom Holland’s version of the hero.No Way Home does, in fact, rely somewhat a bit on crowd service and nostalgia, but it is successful in ensuring that the special appearances of these fan favourites don’t feel ineffective.

Coherence (2013)
Coherence, a 2013 sci-fi movie that served as James Ward Byrkit’s directorial debut, is a modest but no less thrilling sci-fi movie. The story revolves around a group of friends who get together for dinner while an odd comet happens to pass by overhead, and they start to realise that things are getting darker in their lives.
