Best Fat Burning Salad Which You Can Try If You Want To Lose Weight

When you think of salads your mind probably creates an image of grass and lettuce? But when a salad is done right, it can be loaded with delicious and healthy ingredients that are proven to burn calories and speed up your metabolism to help you drop weight really fast. Here are some of the salad which you can have when you want to loose weight.

Blood Orange And Roasted Beet Salad

Blood Orange– The vitamin C in citrus decreases cortisol production, a stress hormone that plays a key role in belly fat storage.

Walnuts – These nuts are packed with polyunsaturated fats. Research has suggested that diets rich in these “good” fats may be able to “turn off” the gene that stores body fat.


1 lb. beets  (scrubbed clean)
1 teaspoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 cups baby spinach leaves
4 cups torn butter lettuce leaves
4 blood oranges, peeled (serve either as segments, chopped, or thinly sliced)
1 avocado, diced
¼ cup feta

Walnut Dressing:

¼ cup toasted walnuts
½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil



1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Lightly rub olive oil over the beets and sprinkle some salt and pepper. Wrap it  in aluminum foil and roast for about 45-60 minutes.  Remove from oven, let cool slightly and gently rub off the skin using your fingers or a paper towel. Cut in cube shape and set aside.

3. Toss the spinach and butter lettuce leaves together and divides among 4 bowls. Divide the remaining ingredients among the bowls: chopped avocado, blood oranges, beets and feta.

4. Make the dressing: -Finely chop the walnuts and place in a small bowl along with the thyme leaves, lemon juice, and minced garlic clove. Drizzle with the olive oil and season to taste with salt and pepper.

5. Drizzle the dressing over the salads and serve immediately.

Beet And Berry Salad

Blueberries: In an animal study, rats who at a diet rich in blueberries had significantly less abdominal fat, lower cholesterol, and improved insulin levels.

Almonds: A 2015 study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that consuming 42 grams of almonds a day led to the reduction in belly fat mass.


2 medium beets
½ tsp. oil
6 cups arugula
1 cup strawberries, sliced
¾ cup blueberries
⅓ cup slivered almonds
3 tbsp. mayonnaise
2 tsp. dijon mustard
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. 100% pure maple syrup
1 shallot, finely minced
1 tbsp. poppy seeds



1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Scrub the beets and place on a sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle with ½ tsp. olive oil and sprinkle salt. Wrap completely and place in oven to roast about 1 hour until tender. Let cool, remove foil and use a paper towel to rub the skin off. Set aside to cool then thinly slice. Beets can be made up to 4 days ahead of time.

3. Toss together arugula, sliced beets, strawberries, blueberries, and almonds.

4. Whisk together mayo, dijon mustard, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, maple syrup, shallot, and poppy seed. Season to taste with salt/pepper.

5. Divide salad among 4 plates and drizzle with dressing.

Strawberry Arugula Salad With Chicken, Goat Cheese And Almonds

Strawberries: These little red gems have been shown to boost metabolism, stabilize blood sugar, and suppress appetites.


For the Creamy Strawberry Lemon Vinaigrette:
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon golden balsamic vinegar
5 whole strawberries, stems/tops removed
⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the Salad:
6 cups baby arugula {aka rocket} or other salad greens
2 cups whole fresh strawberries, stems/tops removed and sliced
8 ounces cooked chicken breast, sliced
2 ounces fresh goat cheese, crumbled
3 tablespoons slivered almonds
1 cup micro greens, optional for garnish

1. Prepare the salad dressing by combining the olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, strawberries, salt and pepper in a blender, and blend on high until smooth. Set aside, or store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
2. To assembles the salads, place 3 cups each of arugula or other salad greens on two plates. Divide remaining ingredients in half and top greens with sliced strawberries, sliced chicken breast, goat cheese, and slivered almonds. Drizzle salad dressing evenly over each plate, and top each salad with ½ cup {optional} micro greens. Serve immediately
