A fire that started early on Christmas morning severely damaged Beyonce’s childhood house in Houston, Texas. Authorities say the two-story residence caught fire on Monday, December 25, about two in the morning. The Single Ladies hitmaker resided there until she was five years old, according to the Daily Mail. The current occupants, a married couple with two kids, were able to leave safely and on schedule.
In ten minutes, the fire was extinguished by the first responders. Chief Justin Barnes of the Houston Fire Department stated, “They did a great job. I’m going to say in less than 10 minutes, we had a really good grip on this fire” .

Even though Beyonce moved out of her Houston home many years ago, her admirers still view it as a significant asset. Keith Rosden, the tour guide, told the Daily Mail, “People who go on these tours are Beyonce devotees, fanatics. Going to see that home where she first lived is like going to Bethlehem – the birthplace of their leader.”
“This is one of the two most popular stops on the tour, the other being the home on Parkwood, where the family lived after moving out of the Rosedale home. Almost 100% of people get out for me to take their photo, to take selfies,” Rosden continued.

When the house was sold in 2019, it had three bathrooms and bedrooms as well as a spiral staircase that led to an office on the third floor. Five years before Beyoncé was born, in 1981, her family paid $64,000 for the residence. The Halo singer lived in Houston until she was 21 years old, even though she left the home when she was only five years old.
