Munawar’s journey was quite challenging. While talking to ET Times Faruqui addressed that those making such accusations should watch the entire season to understand the extent of scrutiny he faced. According to him,If one has to go through so much scrutiny as a fixed winner, then it can’t truly be a fixed winner.
Munawar Faruqui’s Bigg Boss Journey
Ever since Munawar Faruqui’s victory on Bigg Boss, actor Abhishek Kumar, the first runner-up, gained prominence on X (formerly known as Twitter). Some Bigg Boss viewers even claimed that Abhishek was more deserving for the trophy than Munawar. However, the reports says that the difference in votes resulted in Munawar’s win. The third position was taken over by Mannara Chopra in the final rankings of Bigg Boss 17 while actor Ankita Lokhande claimed the fourth spot. YouTuber Arun Mahashetty also made it to the top five.
It was a special day for Munawar Faruqui as it marked his birthday and he was awarded the Bigg Boss 17 trophy, alongwith a luxurious new car, and a cash prize of ₹50 lakh. Interestingly, this marks Munawar’s second reality show win which was Lock Upp Season 1 in 2022. During the grand finale, after Munawar was declared the winner by host Salman Khan, Abhishek Kumar warmly embraced him. Abhishek was also seen touching Salman’s feet in a gesture of respect and received praise from Salman for his commendable performance.
