The 69th National Film Awards were revealed on Thursday. The list of films featured films from many genres and languages.

1. RRR
After winning the Oscar for Best Original Song on Thursday, RRR was presented with six National Awards for Best Popular Film, Best Male Playback Singer, Best Background Score, Best Special Effects, Best Choreographer, and Best Stunt Choreographer.

2. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which actor R Madhavan also featured in and directed, won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.

3. Gangubai Kathiawadi
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi brought Alia Bhatt her first-ever National Award for Best Actress. Additionally, the film won prizes for best editing, best script adaption, and best dialogue writing.

4. The Kashmir Files
Both the Best Film on National Integration and the Best Supporting Actress National Award went to Pallavi Joshi for the film.

5. Pushpa
Allu Arjun won the Best Actor prize for his work in Pushpa: The Rise. The National Award for Best Music Direction went to Devi Sri Prasad for the soundtrack to the film.

6. Mimi
Kriti Sanon, a dancer and surrogate mother, received the National Award for Best Actress for her role in the film Mimi. She shared the honour with Alia Bhatt, who took home the prize for Gangubai Kathiawadi.

7. Chello Show (The Last Film Show)
Pan Nalin’s Chello Show or The Last Film Show won the National Award for Best Gujarati Film. It was India’s official submission for the Best International Feature Film category of the 95th Academy Awards, and it was also included on the shortlist.

8. Shershaah
At the National Film Awards on Thursday, the war film Shershaah, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, won the Special Jury Award.

Vicky Kaushal’s film Sardar Udham won the National Award for Best Hindi Film.

The Best Kannada Film National Award given to Charlie by Kiranraj K. The bond between Charlie, a stray labrador, and a forlorn factory worker is chronicled in the film.
