As well as on screen, Bollywood celebs are also famous for their personal lives. They like to enjoy in parties with their co-stars and you might get surprised to know that some of them are alcoholic or drug addicts.
In 2011 Ranbir Kapoor said in a statement that he took drugs while shooting for film Rockstar. He said he was feeling uncomfortable for shooting a particular scene in the film so he took drugs to overcome the nervousness. Not only this he also revealed that he is a drug addict since his school days. But now he has managed to get rid of his this bad habit but even now he is a chain-smoker.

1) Sanjay Dutt
Sanjay Dutt started taking drugs during his school days. In 1981 after the demise of his mother his addiction hiked. He even jailed for 5 months under the charges of keeping drugs. His father put him into a rehabilitation center in the USA for a special treatment and after 3 years he managed to overcome drug addiction.
2) Divya Bharti
The bubbly actress who is no more in this world now was an alcoholic. It is said that her addiction took her life in some way. As she was drunk when she fell down from her 5th story apartment. She was only 19 years old when she died.
3) Rajesh Khanna
From rich to rag actor Rajesh Khanna was the first superstar of Indian cinema as he gave 15 blockbusters in a row. He became alcoholic. He failed to keep his stardom under control. He was so addicted that he ended his life due to this. He died of liver damage in 2012.
4) Meena Kumari
The ace actress of her time who was more famous for her off-screen life rather on-screen. She was alcoholic to the core that she was not able to shoot a single scene without consuming alcohol. She died on 31 March 1972 of liver cirrhosis at age 38.
5) Fardeen Khan
On 5th May 2001 Central Narcotics Control Bureau jailed Fardeen Khan for 5 days for keeping cocaine. However, after his bail, he set free. After this whole controversy, his career was almost ended.
The He-Man of Indian cinema started his career in 1960 with the film “Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere”. During an interview in 2012, he revealed that his alcohol addiction ruined his career. He said he was alcoholic from the age 15 and it totally shattered his life.
