The holy Ramzan fasting which lasts for a month comes to an end on Eid-ul-Fitr, and the tenth month of the Islamic calendar, Shawwal, hereon commences. Since the moon’s glance is a requisite to mark the end of Ramzan and observe Eid, different regions observe it on different days, typically with a one-day variance.
