A 14 year old bespectacled guy, Harshwardhan Zala amazed the nation by signing a MoU with the state government at The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit of Rs 5 crore worth. He signed the deal with Department of Science and Technology, government of Gujarat to facilitate production of drones made by him which can detect and defuse mines at the field of war.
The 10 class student made three prototypes of the drone while working on his business plan worth not less than 5 lakh. First two prototypes were financed by his parents worth 2 lakh and he was granted Rs 3 lakh by the state government for the third prototype.
“While seeing number of soldiers losing their life diffusing the landmines manually my inspiration was aroused”, he said. He added further that children should themselves choose their area of interest and work on that. Parents should not pressurise children.
The drone has been equipped with infrared, RGB sensor, thermal meter and a 21-megapixel camera with shutter that can capture high resolution pictures. While flying two feet above the ground, it send out waves that cover eight sq mt area to detect land mines and convey their location to base station. it also carries 50 gm bomb to destroy the landmine.
He has registered for the patent and and named his company ‘Aerobotics’. The student of Sarvoday Vidhyamandir is from Bapunagar and his father is an accountant while mother is housewife.
