Yesterday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was received by Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh and Indian Ambassador to Canada Vikas Swarup in New Delhi. Tradeau is visiting Gujarat today but interestingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not with him, as he was during the visits of other world leaders like Xi Jinping, Shinzo Abe and Benjamin Netanyah. What’s the reason?
“There are speculations that PM Modi gave Trudeau a cold shoulder because he has been pandering to pro-Khalistan elements in Canada.”
Moreover, Yesterday, Trudeau was not welcomed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, when he visited Taj Mahal long with his family.
Justin Tradeau is supporting Khalistan Movement
As we all know, in recent years, support for Khalistan has been on the rise in Canada and also some pro-Khalistan groups there are planning to hold what they call the “Punjab Independence Referendum” in the year 2020.
Liberal Party government which is headed by Trudeau has proved more often that it has a soft-corner for extremists. Harinder Kaur Malhi, a legislator from Trudeau’s party, had moved a resolution against India to recognise the anti-Sikh riots of November 1984 as a genocide.
Three members of Trudeau’s cabinet- Science and Economic Development Navdeep Bains and Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Amarjeet Sohi and Minister of National Defence Harjit Sajjan have links with the separatist movement.
