Kangana Ranaut will be featured in the Tamil film Chandramukhi 2 as a classical dancer. On Friday, the lyrical video for the film’s opening single “Swagathaanjali” was unveiled, revealing the actor’s classical dancer persona.
Kangana is seen in the video dressed as Chandramukhi and dancing in what appears to be a king’s court, surrounded by dancers. She looks elegant in her clothing. However, for a classical dancer, the actor’s body language appears rigid.
Fans are in complete awe of her look, someone wrote, “This is so perfect …apt for the kind of movie it is..the hard work of the whole team is evident…. Kangana Ranaut and the singer, their performances are stunning!! All the best..awaiting the release of the film..”, another commented, “Lyrics, music, singing, video, dance actors everything is just perfect about this. Goosebumps literally.”
“Swagathaanjali” was written by Academy Award-winning composer MM Keeravaani and performed by Sreenidhi Tirumala. P Vasu’s Chandramukhi 2 is a standalone sequel to the 2005 film Chandramukhi, which stars Rajinikanth and Jyotika in prominent roles.
Kangana’s film was completed in February. In July, the actress notified fans that she had begun preparations for the film’s conclusion song. She announced the news on social media, “Started climax song rehearsals for Chandramukhi 2 with Kala master ji… Song is composed by Golden Globe winner Shri M.M Keeravani ji Directed by legendary Shri P. Vasu ji… Such an honour.”
Chandramukhi 2 will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam in September, during the Ganesh Chathurthi holiday.
