Telugu cinema superstar Chiranjeevi was recently in the headlines in cue of the theatrical release of his new film GodFather. His film is now all set to launch on the OTT platform, Netflix. The streamer has made it official that it launch on November 19. The film is a Telugu remake of original Malayalam movie Lucifer which served to be hit at the box office.
Netflix announced it on its social media handle, the streamer wrote, “The megastar of Tollywood meets the megastar of Bollywood! #Godfather is coming to Netflix on the 19th of November!”
GodFather, a Mohan Raja directorial, alongside Chiranjeevi features Satyadev and Nayanthara in the pivotal roles. Moreover, superstar Salman Khan was featured in a cameo role, the film was released in Hindi too.
Chiranjeevi spilled the beans on how Khan took no second thought to be on board. Chiranjeevi in an interview with Film Companion said, “Yeah, yeah Chiru garu, what do you want?” The Telugu star continued, “I told him it’s a small character but very respectable, and you can watch Lucifer in case you want. He said, ‘No, no Chiru garu, I am doing it. Just send your person, we will discuss dates and everything.’ Within 2-3 minutes he agreed.”
GodFather features a song titled “Thaar Maar” starring Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan. The song is composed by S Thaman in both Telegu and Hindi.
