Much anticipated film of the year Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is a waiting it’s release in India on Friday. Recently in an interview Emily Blunt spoke about how Cillian Murphy controlled his diet to play the lead role of the film, J Robert Oppenheimer.
She mentioned how Cillian maintained his died and only ate and almond per day.
Speaking to Extra, she told, “He had such a monumental undertaking. And he could only eat, like, an almond every day. He was so emaciated.”
This year in May, Cillian Murphy spoke to The New York Times and said, “I love acting with my body, and Oppenheimer had a very distinct physicality and silhouette, which I wanted to get right. I had to lose quite a bit of weight, and we worked with the costume and tailoring; he was very slim, almost emaciated, existed on martinis and cigarettes.”
Mentioning about his weight loss process, the actor mentioned how he has given up on unhealthy eating habits. “You become competitive with yourself a little bit which is not healthy. I don’t advise it,” he told the Guardian in a recent interview.
Oppenheimer will hit the theaters on July 21, with its fronting film Greta Gerwig’s Barbie starring Margot Robbie in the lead role and Ryan Gosling as Ken.
