Priyanka Chopra brought a surprise for her fans on Monday after she posted some pictures of her fresh series Citadel, executive produced by the famous Russo brothers. One of the picture showed a startling fact which contained a QR code which will unlock the teaser of Citadel, as posted by Priyanka.
In the photo, Richard Madden‘s character Mason Kane is staring at the screen observing each detail of the Priyanka’s character, Nadia Sinh, via., the QR code. Once you scan the code, the secret to the trailer is unveiled.
The short teaser kicks off with a monologue by Stanley Tucci who says, “Everything you know is a lie. What you were was a myth. What you were was Citadel.”
Nick Jonas lauded his wife’s performance in the series on Instagram, “So proud of you @priyankachopra. Get ready y’all. This show is next level.”

Priyanka earlier mentioned the show to be ‘innovative’ and an ‘interesting experiment’. While speaking in a panel discussion on Inside TV’s Best Big Bet, she averred, “You don’t have to watch the American show to understand; (the local language series) stands alone. But if you watch all the other shows, they’re all connected and that’s never been done in television. It’s such an interesting experiment, especially for a streamer like Amazon that caters to audiences across the world.”
The executive producer Russo brothers’ production house AGBO has bankrolled the film. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video on April 28 with two episodes, thereafter ever Friday, a new episode will be out up till May 26.
Citadel is crafted in the form of a ‘mothership’ series which will be released in India, Italy and Mexico. The Indian version will be helmed by The Family Man fame Raj & DK. Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be starred in the lead roles, as confirmed by the makers. The Italian version is released under the name Matilda De Angelis.
