A source with knowledge of the situation stated on Tuesday that a white powder discovered inside the White House late on Sunday was identified by emergency responders as cocaine.
The source provided just the fact that the powder was discovered in the West Wing.The executive house where President Joe Biden resides has a building linked to it called the West Wing.
Along with the president’s office and workstation, it also houses the cabinet room, press room, and Oval Office.The West Wing was temporarily closed on Sunday after a “unknown item” was discovered inside, according to a statement from the Secret Service on Tuesday.“
On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area,” a Secret Service spokesperson dropped this statement via., email
“The DC Fire Department was called to evaluate and quickly determined the item to be non-hazardous,” the Secret Service spokesperson added, and affirmed that “an investigation into the cause and manner” of how the thing was escorted to the White House.
On Sunday, Biden was not present in the White House. On Tuesday morning, he and his family left the presidential retreat Camp David after spending the weekend there.
