Veteran actor and comedian Jagdeep Singh who made the world laugh with his comedy left everyone crying at 8.30 pm on Wednesday (May 8). The actor was 81 years old and was suffering from health problems due to his age. According to the information he was cremated between 11 to 12 noon at Shia Cemetery in Mazgaon, Mumbai. His son Javed Jaffery was there to perform the last rituals of his father. Jagdeep who was remembered for spreading smiles and laughter over the silver screen was mourned by Bollywood celebrities such as Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Abhishek Bachchan, and many others celebs.
The veteran actor and comedian had acted in more than 250 films in his career. He started his journey in cinema with the 1951 film Afsana, which marked filmmaker BR Chopra’s directorial debut. His character Surma Bhopali in the Hindi cinema hit film Sholay made him famous by this name. Comic artists used to have an important role in the Hindi cinema at one time. His mimicry and comic roles were quite appreciated even today. But today the actor is no more to entertain us.
