Good news for all the sports fan is that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to produce the biopic of Major Dhyan Chand. Yes, Dhoni is bringing the life-story of the hockey legend on big screen.
According to the daily hunt, Varun Dhawan is expected to play the lead role in the biopic. As per reported by Deccan Chronicle, “Cricketer M.S. Dhoni has acquired the rights to the film and might produce it. It is still not clear whether Karan will be co-producing the film, but Rohit is very much directing the film with Varun.”
Major Dhyan Chand’s birthday, i.e. 29 August, is celebrated as National sports day in India. In 1956, the government of India has awarded him the third highest (then second highest) civilian honor of Padma Bhushan.
