Kamlesh Pandey, a television actor who has played the role of a police officer in India’s one of the most popular TV show Crime Patrol, a reality based crime series, commited suicide on Tuesday night.
Kamlesh reportedly committed suicide Tuesday in Jabalpur where he was visiting his sister-in-law.
Kamlesh’s sister-in-law Anjani Chaturvedi was hosting her daughter’s wedding to which Kamlesh was allegedly not invited. According to a DNA report, Kamlesh was upset about this. He got drunk and created chaos before pulling out a revolver, the report said. He then fired in the air and then shot himself in the chest, it added.
According to the reports, the family called the ambulance and informed the police but he died on the spot. A police investigation is now underway.
Crime Patrol is the longest running reality crime television series in India, dramatises real life crime events that happened in India with a message for the Indian people that crime never pays and all criminals end up behind the bars.
