In the wake of his reportedly positive COVID-19 test, India’s captain Rohit Sharma posted a selfie of himself giving the thumbs up on Instagram on Monday. Rohit, whose participation in the fifth Test against England that has been postponed and will begin on July 1 is uncertain because of him testing positive for COVID-19 and can be seen grinning while making the gesture, which has led to fans speculating as to whether this is a sign from the opening batter that he is ready to rejoin the team.

While walking out of the hotel, Rohit Sharma’s daughter Samaira Sharma haults to answer the question of some concerned fans or possibly paparazzi. When asked about daddy Rohit, Samaira explains clearly that his father is taking rest in the room because he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Reports from the BCCI have confirmed the arrival of young opening batsman Mayank Agarwal as an inclusion in the Indian squad after the visitors suffer a huge blow from Rohit Sharma’s news of being COVID-19 Positive.
Mayank Agarwal will be tentatively the priority plan for Dravid and management who shall open with young lad Shubman Gill for the final clash against the Englishmen.
The Test is announced to begin on 1st July and Rohit’s recovery seems doubtful while KL Rahul, another opening batsman in the squad, was removed earlier from the list after facing a groin injury because of which he had to travel to Germany for a long recovery break.
