He demonstrated his guts as an actor in movies like Mary Kom, NH 10, Sarbjit among others. Yet, his latest release The Kashmir Files grabbed him a lot of attention and the change, Darshan Kumaar can witness for himself.
The actor, who plays a crucial part in the movie, won applause for his role Krishna Pandit. Discussing what followed… the actor says, “This film has turned my life by 360 degrees. Yes, my performances in my past films were always appreciated. Many directors wanted to cast me as a lead in their film, but there was one criteria that was stopping them. The directors always said that producers wanted to cast an actor who could crunch numbers at the box office. My last film did wonders as it set the cash registers ringing and tables seem to have turned.”

He also added, “The same filmmakers have sent many scripts to me. Directors want to work with me now. They knew for a fact that I can put my heart and soul in a role, yet they were not ready to put money on me. All that has changed, thanks to The Kashmir Files. I feel blessed that things have started rolling for me. I have multiple scripts with me and I am going through them before I pick the right one. My last release has indeed proved to be quite magical for me.”

The actor who as of late did a live show around the film says that he might want to work in a play-based of The Kashmir Files… a thought that he has been toying with the movie’s team. “I hope it works out as I enjoy performing live for the audience and seeing their reactions,” he says.
