The trailer of Nani’s upcoming film Dasara was out on Tuesday. The opening visuals terms the film to be a blood-soaked, harsh story of a single man’s uprising from a small village titled Veerlapally, which is pounded with coal.
The trailer starts with the introduction of Keerthy Suresh, who is the bride. She adores herself in the mirror and says that the groom is blessed to have her. The next shot then brings Nani into the picture who is bracing hard atop a moving train packed with coal.
The film has been helmed by debutant Srikanth Odella it also features Sai Kumar and Shine Tom Chacko among others in pivotal roles.
During the film launch last February, Nani identified Dasara as “pure raw, rustic, and adrenaline-rush” of a film. The shooting is set against the Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani in Telangana.
At the teaser launch, Nani averred, “Last year, RRR came from Telugu cinema. KGF and Kantara came from Kannada cinema. I can confidently and with a lot of pride say that Dasara will come from Telugu cinema in 2023.”
Dasara will be out in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada on March 30. Stating his career defining film, Nani said “For a lot of people who’ve said I don’t work out of my comfort zone, this will be the answer. It’s a project that I have great expectations from and I’m sure audiences won’t be disappointed,” he said.
