In Idukki, Kerala, a woman who was suffering from jaundice was kept in a mortuary freezer.Obviously, she was dead but after an hour she was seen to be breathing as she sprang back to life. Yes, you read it right.
A 40-year-old woman named Rathnam was undergoing a treatment for the last two months at a hospital in Madurai. Her internal organs had got damaged due to severe illness.
The doctors at the hospital had told Rathnam’s relatives that there was no use of keeping her in the hospital and to take her back home. While bringing her home in Vandanmed in an ambulance, they thought she died as she had no movement.
So, they decided to take her directly to the mortuary. According to The News Minute, just before her final rites, few relatives noticed that she was moving and breathing. They informed the police and she was shifted to the hospital.
The hospital had not issued any confirmation on Rathnam’s death and the family had shifted her to a mortuary without doctor’s verification.
However, doctors said Rathnam might not live for a long time as her internal organs are severely damaged and have already stopped functioning.
