Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is busy in the shoot of her upcoming film Chhapaak. Currently, she is in Delhi, shooting alongside Vikrant Massey. The actress will be seen playing the role of Malti – an acid attack survivor in the film.
This film is based on the real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Actor Vikrant is playing Laxmi’s partner Alok Dixit in the film who is a social activist. A video from the film sets got viral recently, and now it is doing the rounds on the internet. In this video, she can be seen in a totally transformed avatar and no one from the public recognized her when she was giving a shot for the film. Watch the video below:
Ever since Deepika Padukone has revealed her look for the film, her photos are going viral. Actor Vikrant Massey has also changed his look for the film he has grown a heavier beard and has also put on weight for the role.
To let you know, Laxmi Agarwal was only 15 when she got attacked by a 32-year-old man, who had a one-sided attraction towards her. She now works another acid attack survivors by running an NGO and is also a proud owner of a cafe which is managed by these survivors.
The film is directed by ace film director Meghna Gulzar, the film is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020.
