The most awaited movie based on a brothel owner Gangubai Kathaiwadi is soon set to release. But prior to its release, a case is filed against the film. So read out to know the matter.
Ever since the teaser of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi came out, the film has been embroiled in controversy for various reasons. Now the legal controversy over Gangubai Kathiawari is escalating. And in connection to this Mumbai court has summoned Bhansali, the film’s leading lady Alia Bhatt and others in a defamation case.
Adapted from one of the chapters of Zaidi’s book. Gangubai Kathiawadi narrates the story of a brothel owner and also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role while Ajay Devgan will be seeing making a special entry in the film. But after the biographical crime drama trailer was out. It feels that Shah has a problem with this. And he reportedly made a complaint against this. Now Mumbai Court has now issued summons to Bhansali along with Alia, and other two writers in connection to the case. And asked to appear before the court on 21 May.
Now let us tell you that why Shah has issues with the film. And the answer is that he is one of the four children adopted by Kathiawadi, who claimed that the film is defamatory and is also tarnishing her reputation. And that is the reason why the case is filed.
Talking about the release of the film. It was scheduled to release the last September but due to covid, the release got postponed. However, as per the recent reports, the film is slated to release on big screens on 30 July.
