The body of a sumo wrestler is heavy. Fat is visible on the body, but neither he gets tired nor the weight bothers him while wrestling. The surprising thing is that even after having fat in the body, they neither get heart attack nor diabetes nor their blood pressure increases. Know why this doesn’t happen to sumo wrestlers, know the reason..
Sumo wrestlers consume 7 thousand calories daily. They weigh 2 to 3 times that of a normal adult. According to a Business Insider report, due to different types of physical activity, there is a difference in the body of a normal person and a sumo wrestler. Due to the increase in weight in the normal human body, fat starts increasing from all around the internal organs like pancreas, liver and other organs. Due to this visceral fat, the functioning of these organs is affected. That’s why common man struggles with heart attack, high blood pressure and diabetes. But this does not happen in the body of a sumo wrestler.
The report says, to understand this, CT scan of a sumo wrestler body was done. The report revealed that the visceral fat which increases the risk of diseases in their body is very less. Therefore, there is no risk of diseases increasing due to fat in them. Research has been done on why this happens. Research says, these exercises do a lot. Due to exercise, a hormone called adiponectin is released in their body, which shows the same effect.
According to research, this adiponectin hormone prevents fat from getting into the blood. Visceral fat increases in the body only when the fat in the blood increases, but in the case of sumo, the fat collects under the skin. The reason for this is exercise. In Japan, sumo wakes up at 5 in the morning and their training goes on for 5 hours continuously.
The report says, they take a high protein diet in their diet, but when they retire, they have to change their diet. If they do not reduce their calories after retirement, then they are at increased risk of heart diseases and they may die 10 years earlier than the normal Japanese.
