According to a recent Pinkvilla report, the couple had originally intended to wed abroad but had to change their plans at the last minute to marry in India.

According to a source, “Rakul and Jacky had initially planned for their wedding to take place in the Middle East. After nearly six months of meticulous planning, everything was pretty much in order. However, following the call from the Indian PM in December, urging rich and influential families to choose India as the venue for their big life events, Rakul and Jackky reconsidered their original plans and relocated the wedding to India.”
The source also mentioned that this mid-December plan modification took place. It required a whole revision of all plans and arrangements, including lodging and the destination.
Wedding update
The pair was seen praying at the Mumbai version of the Ram Mandir earlier this month. Following their meeting, Jackky and Rakul posted a joint Instagram post. Rakul was dressed in a classic pastel green outfit, while Jackky was dressed in a yellow kurta pajama. Jackky wrote in the video’s caption, “Mesmerised with the Ram Mandir Replica Rath. According to a story in the Hindustan Times, their close friends from the South and Hindi film industries will be present at the small-scale wedding.
