Originally, the superhero film The Batman landed for October 1, 2021, but due to the corona crisis, it was postponed to March 2022, much to the disappointment of the fans.
And that appears to have been necessary. Despite the fact that we already saw a first trailer in August, the recordings have only now really been completed. Director Matt Reeves has revealed this via Twitter.
Shooting The Batman completed
With a photo of a wrapped film board, Reeves leaves behind the two hastags #LastDay #TheBatman. Recordings started in London in January 2020, with the working title Vengeance . In mid-March, Warner Bros. finally pulled the plug on the recordings, not long after the start of the corona crisis.
Almost a year later, the cameras have been shut down for good and Reeves and his team can focus on post-production, and they have plenty of time for that, as The Batman is expected to be released on March 4, 2022 at the earliest.
Below again the trailer in which you see Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / the Dark Knight.
