Divya Dutta, an accomplished Bollywood actor, has portrayed a number of compelling characters. Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna, which was released in 1994, was the actor’s acting debut. Although she co-starred with Salman Khan in the 1995 movie Veergati, Divya is most known for her work in a number of author-supported roles. Divya Dutta has made a name for herself numerous times, whether it be in her part as Shabbo on Veer-Zaara, the comedies Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008) and Delhi-6 (2009), or any other role over the years.
In a recent interview, Divya Dutta recounted a time when renowned actor Dharmendra supported her decision to enter the film profession.
In an interview titled Unfiltered with Samdish, Divya mentioned that Dharmendra once told the actor that, “I would have loved to see you in a role like Guddi.”
Divya also recalled a time when she was on stage to announce that actor Dharmendra had won the Lifetime Achievement Award at a Canadian event. The latter grabbed the microphone away from Divya after the pleasantries and stated, “I want to say something.”
Dharmendra averred, “When Divya joined the film industry, I was not very encouraging, but I am glad she didn’t listen to me.”
“That was like a validation for me, and also for those who thought should they allow me to do films,” Divya mentioned reminiscing the comment made by the veteran.
The actor further continued, “Those were different times. 25 years back everyone was very protective and fair enough as our industry is not that easy. But I feel nice and validated now.”
Divya Dutta last appeared in Kangana Ranaut’s movie Dhaakad, but the movie didn’t do well at the box office.
