The present government is all set to launch its new tactic of a cashless economy now when the whole country is suffering from demonetization. So far the government was working through appeals and advertisements but by observing no major results, the “Neeti Ayog” has announced to give Rs 1 crore in cash as an award to digital consumers.
On Thursday, the CEO of “Neeti Ayog” Amitabh Kant has announced “Lucky Grahak Yojna” and “Digi Dhan Vyapari Yojna” during a press conference. He told all the terms and conditions of this service. This service going to be launched from 25 December 2016 to 14 April 2017, it means for 100 days. The consumers who use to do online payments will get benefitted by this plan.
15 thousand people will be awarded Rs 1000 each on daily basis. According to this scheme, there will be a weekly lucky draw in which 7 thousand people will choose as winners. Out of these 7 thousand people, one consumer will get an award of Rs 1 Lakh and one merchant will be awarded Rs 50 thousand. And the others will get prizes in between Rs 10 thousand to 5 thousand.
There will be a Mega draw on 14 April 2017 where the names of 3 Lucky Winners will be announced. In which the first will get an award of Rs 1 crore, other will get Rs 50 Lakhs and third will get Rs 25 Lakhs.
The other major point is, the transactions of rupees more than 5 thousand and less than Rs 50 will not be considered under this scheme. Also, no business to business transaction will be considered only shopping or buying transactions shall be covered.
Transactions via RuPay, USSD, UPI and AEPS will be considered only for the awards. Transactions through debit cards, credit cards and E-wallet won’t be counted or entertained.
