Donald Trump and Princess Diana were reportedly part of the same social circle. Princess Diana once refused Trump’s free membership offer to the Florida club. In simple word, Mr. President was quite obsessed with Diana’s beauty. According to The Sunday Times, Selina Scott said: “Trump bombarded Diana at Kensington Palace with massive bouquets of flowers, each worth hundreds of pounds.”
Scott added: “As the roses and orchids piled up at her apartment she became increasingly concerned about what she should do. It had begun to feel as if Trump was stalking her.”
In the Art of the Comeback, a book by Donald Trump, he mentioned Princess Diana and Daily Mail UK quoted an instance from it as, “I couldn’t help but notice how she moved people. She lit up the room. Her charm. Her presence. She was a genuine princess–a dream lady.”
Princess Diana was the first wife Charles, Prince of Wales. Diana remained the object of worldwide media scrutiny during and after her marriage, which ended in divorce on 28 August 1996. Media attention and public mourning were extensive after her death in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997 and subsequent televised funeral.
