Every 90s kid in India knows who Neelum Sharma is! Yes, she was the senior DD News anchor we have grown up watching her on TV. She is no more as she dies of breast cancer. Neelum was only 50 years old. She was the voice of women and her shows especially highlighted women achievers and their inspirational stories. Her traditional appearance garnered a lot of appreciation.
By her show Tejaswini, Neelum focused on woman achievers of India. She was also a documentary filmmaker, having over 60 films to her name. She started her career with Doordarshan in 1995 and was associated with the channel for over 20 years.
Everyone is in shock after knowing about her untimely death. To let you know, she did her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, DU. After that, she did a diploma from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. Neelam Sharma was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Noida as she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was put on a ventilator due to poor health.
