Famous Marathi actor Dr. Hemu Adhikari passes away at age 81. He also acted in Sanjay Dutt’s film ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. He passed away yesterday at his Mumbai residence. He was suffering from the lung infection for one-and-a-half years.
The actor is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. He was also the famous actor of Marathi theatre. Hemu worked in more than 14 Hindi and Marathi films, 45 plays, and seven television serials. He played the role of a retired teacher in ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ in the year 2006.
Not only this he was also known for acclaimed works like Sai Paranjpe’s Katha (1983), Palekar’s Bangarwadi (1995) and Dhyaas Parya (2000) and Paresh Mokashi’s Oscar-nominated Harishchandrachi Factory (2010). He was a versatile person. Along with being an actor, he was also a qualified scientist.
