Tuesday saw the debut of the teaser for Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film, Dream Girl 2. Raaj Shaandilya once again serves as director for the follow-up.The most recent addition to the cast is Ananya Panday, who plays the female protagonist.
Ayushmann takes his Pooja avatar to a new level in the teaser. He’s not just speaking for Pooja this time; he’s also dressed like her. He has been observed poking and deceiving numerous men once more. The trailer features a number of seasoned comedy actors, including Rajpal Yadav, Annu Kapoor, Asrani, and Paresh Rawal. Even funnier, Annu Kapoor can be seen waxing Ayushmann’s chest. In the clip, Ananya can be seen making love to Ayushmann’s masculine alter ego.
Ayushmann wrote on Instagram, “Yeh toh sirf pehli jhalak hai. (This is just the first look) Objects in the mirror are more khoobsurat (beautiful) than they appear! #DreamGirl2on25Aug #25AugustHogaMast #OneMonthToGo.”
The 2019 movie Dream Girl featured Ayushmann as a call centre agent who pretended to be Pooja while speaking to callers in a female voice. Dream Girl 2 is a spiritual successor to the movie. Nushrratt Bharuccha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz, and Abhishek Banerjee all played prominent roles. With a 200 crore international box office take, the movie was a smash hit.
Dream Girl 2 is hitting in theatres on August 25 now.
Co-producer Ekta Kapoor said about the film that, “We want Ayushmann Khurrana’s character to look perfect as Pooja in Dream Girl 2, and that’s why we are taking extra time to perfect the VFX work for the face.
