Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 has successfully entered not just the Rs 200 crore club but have now crossed ₹300 crores in the worldwide gross earnings on Tuesday, making it a superhit project and one of the highest grossing films of the year. This film is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam hit of the same name which have grossed immensely becoming the highly profitable films of the year.

Last week, the film had outperformed in the race to beat the earnings of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (₹266 crore). The collections made by Brahmastra may be a bit out of hand however the film is likely to surpass The Kashmir Files if the progress id s constant in the coming weeks too.
The film has been helmed by first time director Abhishek Pathak. The original film was helmed by was the late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat. While speaking to Hindustan Times, Pathak has mentioned that the film has been helmed differently from the Malayalam version which starred star Mohanlal.
He averred, “There is no point in making a frame to frame remake. You are not doing anything as a director if you do that. You have to bring your vision to the table. Also, if it’s a copy, people will talk about that aspect. It will spread via word of mouth and reduce your audience. Why would you want to take that chance?”
Drishyam 2 was released on November 18.
