Amidst the ongoing reports that DC’s Black Adam is considered a flop, the actor starring in the movie Dwayne Johnson retaliated. The actor has posted the profit scales through his Twitter account and stated these reports to be wrong and false.
On Wednesday, the actor wrote, “Waited to confirm with financiers before I shared this excellent #BlackAdam news – our film will PROFIT between $52M-$72M. Fact.”
Black Adam has collected $387 million overseas. A report by Variety few days before stated that the film faced a loss of more than $100 million. The report added that the film spent around $500 million for promotion and marketing. The actor refuted and said, “At almost $400M worldwide we are building our new franchise step by step (first Captain America did $370M) for the DC future,” he further tweeted.
Black Adam stars Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centino, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, and Marwan Kenzari. The film was out on October 21.
