Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, unleashed a wave of memes on Twitter this January 21 after comparing his 19-month-old son X Æ A-Xii to a baby gorilla.
It all started when a user shared a video on January 19 of a baby ape playing on a bed of straw. The goal in posting the ‘clip’ was to show a “shining example” that great primates and humans behave very similarly when playing games.
Musk, for his part, decided to comment on the publication that “Baby X [his son] is just the same”, and the reactions of the users immediately began.
“Baby X looks just like him except he’s probably a super genius too,” one person wrote .
Others posted photos comparing X Æ A-Xii to Doge, the internet’s shiba inu dog meme.
A third user shared an image of a man and a woman trying to grab a baby that is propelled upwards, like a space rocket, in clear reference to the constant jokes that Musk’s son is a superhuman.
X Æ A-Xii, whose peculiar name caused countless memes and problems with the registry, is the fruit of the relationship of the South African businessman with the Canadian singer Claire Elise Boucher, known by her stage name Grimes. In September 2021, Musk revealed that he had “semi-separated” from his partner after three years together.
