2 weeks before his death, Stephen Hacking predicted the end of the universe in his last research papers. A leading scientific journal is currently reviewing his final work, “A Smooth Exit from Eternal Inflation”.
Professor Thomas Hertog, of KU Leuven University Belgium, who co-authored the paper said:
“He has often been nominated for the Nobel and should have won it. Now he never can. “This was Stephen: to boldly go where Star Trek fears to tread.”
Hertog added: “We wanted to transform the idea of a multiverse into a testable scientific framework.”
Also, according to the Stephen’ s papers, scientists could find alternate universes using probes on spaceships.
Carlos Frenk, professor of cosmology at Durham University said about the papers: “The intriguing idea in Hawking’s paper is that [the multiverse] left its imprint on the background radiation permeating our universe and we could measure it with a detector on a spaceship. These ideas offer the breathtaking prospect of finding evidence for the existence of other universes. This would profoundly change our perception of our place in the cosmos.”
