Mohammed Siraj was called in after India’s critical pacer Jasprit Bumrah had to be rested owing to back spasms. Coming in after being benched for the first two ODIs, Mohammed Siraj was able to give team India the first breakthrough.
Siraj’s fierce delivery did not give time to Jonny Bairstow to open the face of his bat which ended by striking a thick edge and ultimately in the hands of Shreyas Iyer at the covers.
Joe Root came on to bat but was able to survive only two deliveries before going back in the last ball of the over. Siraj ended up taking “double wicket maiden over” and will be delighted with his comeback.
Indian pacer and one of the phenomenal performers throughout the white ball series Jasprit Bumrah will not be seen in the last ODI game against team England as the power pack lethal gunner has to rest after the “back spasms” have been a common problem for the cricketers for a while.
Arshdeep Singh on the other was not considered to be fit either, as the right abdominal strain has forced him to play for the blues in the 50-over format.
India will be playing against England on July 17th for the final showdown after the ODI series is on 1-1 for now and Manchester will witness the series decider.
