The senior members who reportedly took a rest from South Africa and Ireland series, to focus on red-ball cricket, will be travelling to the UK tonight.
India’s prime members will be taking a flight for the next tour in England which will be continuing from the fifth and last Test match left to play. India will be playing a warm-up against Leicestershire before tackling the in-forms England.
India’s warm-up game begins on June 24th as England is currently hosting the Kiwis and are leading the series by 2-0. The unfortunate news for the tour members is that Michael Bracewell, currently playing for New Zealand, was tested positive for COVID-19 the very next day after the Trent Bridge conclusion which puts every other player and management in trouble as the series has a higher chance of get cancelled which is also a bad sign for India’s upcoming tour.
Rohit Sharma will be travelling along with some of his companions for the night flight and will also be looking forward to performing as a leader in the whites. Talk of the centre, Virat Kohli will soon be joining the team.
