The England have successfully dominated the inexperienced Netherlands and the hosts certainly did not expected such fiercely competitive England smashing all over the park.
England started with Jason Roy and Philip Salt which did not go in their way as veteran Roy was shown the path of pavilion in just 7 balls.
Philip Salt on the other hand played a magical innings to bring up his maiden century and scored 122 runs in just 93 balls. The tremendous strike rate of 131.18 in the first ODI have witnessed bunch of fireworks too.
Dawid Malan assisted the young boy Salt well as Malan too smashed a great innings as he scored 125 runs with the strike rate of almost 115.
Jos Buttler was initially called as a “floater” to assist team England in the middle order and not to perform in top order. This did not stop Buttler from being the ferocious batsman he always has been.
Jos Buttler continued the smashing religion which was certainly initiated by Salt and Malan. Jos stood till the last ball and continued his IPL perform, similar to David Miller, and scored 162 runs in just 70 balls. The magical and “not-out” innings by Buttler have helped England to score 498 runs in 50 overs.
