Esha Gupta Suffers Backlash For Racist Remarks on Nigerian Footballer, Called Him Gorilla

Bollywood Hottie Esha Gupta has troubled herself when she made racist remarks on
Arsenal’s Nigerian footballer Alexander Iwobi. Now she is suffering a backlash from the social media users. Esha had shared a screenshot of her WhatsApp chat with a friend on her Insta story, where the actress’ friend called Iwobi “gorilla faced” and said “evolution stopped for him.”

To this, Esha replied to her friend, “Haha… I don’t know why they don’t bench him more.”

The moment she posted her story, she started getting trolled by the social media users. They called her racist. Although she wasn’t the one who called Iwobi a Gorilla, she laughed at it and didn’t ask her friend to not to refer him that. But after getting trolled, she realized her mistake and took to Twitter to apologize for her remarks and deleted her story.

Not only that, but she also penned down an apology letter to Iwobi also. She wrote,

“I am extremely sorry for my ignorant action last Friday. Being an ardent fan of Arsenal for many years, I was deeply engrossed and caught up in the game. For this, I am deeply regretful. I cannot begin to imagine how much I have hurt your sentiments. Racism has absolutely no place in my heart, and I promise you, for whatever it’s worth, going forward this will never happen again. I hope the club can accept my humblest apology and give me the opportunity to make amends. I promise to be very responsible from here on.”

On the work front, Esha Gupta will appear next in the film Total Dhamaal. Her upcoming films also include Desi Magic and Hera Pheri 3.
