India has named their squad for the two-match T20I series against Ireland and while players like Sanju Samson and Rahul Tripathi find their place as an opportunity, IPL champion Rahul Tewatia finds no place to be called in team India.
Rahul Tewatia recently took the use of Twitter to express his grief or rather frustration by not getting an opportunity into the internationals.
Rahul Tewatia tweeted “expectations hurt” and the fans too supported the Gujarat Titans’ fighter to wait for his opportunity.
Tewatia scored 217 runs at a strike rate of 147.62 in 16 games. He has played in 64 IPL games and has 738 runs to his name, including a half-century. In addition, he has 32 wickets to his name.
Tewatia has wowed everyone with his finishing abilities. In IPL 2022, he was a key player for Gujarat Titans, including a match-winning knock against Punjab Kings. When Tewatia hit back-to-back sixes to Odean Smith, the Hardik Pandya-led side needed 12 runs off just two balls to win.
Rahul Tewatia experienced a splendid season in the Indian Premier League as he not only won the IPL cup but also roared as a true hero in some of the games. Rahul assisted Gujarat Titans to help them in winning their maiden IPL trophy.
