Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Lashes Out At Donald Trump

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg lashed out at Donald Trump because of his proposed changes to the country’s immigration and refugee policies. In his Facebook post, shared on Friday afternoon, he wrote,

“We need to keep this country safe, but we should do that by focusing on people who actually pose a threat. Expanding the focus of law enforcement beyond people who are real threats would make all Americans less safe by diverting resources, while millions of undocumented folks who don’t pose a threat will live in fear of deportation,”

referencing his wife, Priscilla Chan and his relatives. He added,

“We should also keep our doors open to refugees and those who need help. That’s who we are. Had we turned away refugees a few decades ago, Priscilla’s family wouldn’t be here today.”

In his post-Zuckerberg referenced, it is expected from Trump that he will soon implement actions that halt the country’s current refugee policy and release a policy of “extreme vetting” for immigrants. Trump has signed executive orders this week in order to crack down the illegal immigration.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg forbid Trump ideology of building a wall along the Mexican border and banning Muslims from entering the U.S. He said, with the access of Internet we are here helping people of the world connecting each other but such restrictions are against the motion. He also added in his post that,

“A few years ago, I taught a class at a local middle school where some of my best students were undocumented. They are our future too. We are a nation of immigrants, and we all benefit when the best and brightest from around the world can live, work and contribute here.”
