Zara Tasveer Se Tu Nikal Ke Saamne Aaa Meri Mehbooba! The Mehbooba in the song whom Shah Rukh Khan is urging to come out from a picture is none other than the beautiful actress Mahima Chaudhary. Her beauty and simplicity in the blockbuster film Pardes made everyone crazy after her.
Even after a successful debut and giving a blockbuster film, Mahima failed to have a successful Bollywood career. After Pardes, she was seen in only supporting roles and in lead roles in some low budget films. Her hit films include – Daag The Fire, Pardes and Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar. Even then she became a popular actress and famous among the fans. She is away from the limelight these days.
After having not so flop and not so successful film career Mahima decided to settle down in her life. But she never knew that troubles are on their way. Back in 2000, Mahima fell for ace Tennis star Leander Paes. They were in a relationship, everything was going well but after 3 years, in 2003 they sadly broke up.
It was Leander Paes who cheated on her with Sanjay Dutt’s second wife Rhea Pillai. Sanjay Dutt divorced her and Leander and Rhea stayed in a live-in relationship and had a daughter together. But after some years they two also had an ugly broke up.
After 3 years of her breakup in 2006, Mahima met Kolkata-based architect Bobby Mukherjee. He was also her brother’s close friend. They came closer and decided to get married. It was Bobby’s second marriage to Mahima. The couple got married on March 19, 2006, at a hotel in Las Vegas in a private affair.
But then just a month after her marriage she was spotted with a baby bump. It was speculated that the actress might have got pregnant before marriage, which is why a hush-hush wedding was arranged and there was a sudden pregnancy announcement.
In 2007, Mahima became a mother of a baby girl. Then things went wrong between her and husband Bobby. In 2011, they got separated. Talking about taking a break from acting, here is what Mahima recently said:
“I was a single mother and had to earn money. With a child, it was difficult to take up films, as it would have consumed a lot of time. I started judging a few television shows, making appearances at functions or cutting ribbons because it was convenient for me. It also gave me quick and good money. Now, when I look back, I feel those assignments ruined me as an actress.”
