Fake Rs 2000 Notes of ‘Children Bank of India’ Dispensed From SBI ATM In Delhi

People in India are still struggling to withdraw cash, but a State Bank of India ATM in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar dispensed fake Rs 2,000 notes. The note can hardly be passed off as genuine note because it is stuffed with errors. It would seem as someone’s cheap prank at people’s expense.

The note dispensed from the particular SBI ATM has numerous errors. It reads ‘Children Bank of India’ stead of Reserve Bank of India and ‘Guaranteed by the Children’s Government’ in place of Guaranteed by the Central Government. The note even says ‘Churan lable’ and ‘PK’ logo instead of Reserve Bank of India seal.

A senior Police officer said, after the complaint was lodged, “We sent a sub-inspector to verify the allegations. He withdrew one Rs 2,000 note and that also turned out to be fake.”

Police said they are yet to identify the people behind this. Under IPC sections 489-b, 489-e and 420, complaints are registered at Sangam Vihar police station.
